Fran Sevier - Acrylic Artist

Living aboard my sailboat in British Columbia, California and Mexico it should come as no surprise that as an artist I paint water.  Other subjects interest me but water is always dynamic, shifting and engaging.  It can be in a cloud, a puddle, a stream, a lake or the ocean.  My challenge is to try to capture reflections, slippery colors, the mysteries down below or up in the sky.  While in pursuit of a watery subject, I will stop along a shore for hours sketching or taking photos of a unique scene.  There are always ideas shimmering on the edges waiting to be spilled onto the surface of the next blank canvas.
